Announcing Chimaera

Welcome to Chimaera!

I've been working on this for a bit here and there, and excited to make further progress and hopefully start some proper play testing.

Rules have been written, some art made, cards have been printed and a book arranged. You'll see there is currently nothing ready to download yet, but I aim to get a simple book let of the base rules ready for playtesting, with the goal of completing a full book for sale with art, lore and a GM's guide. You'll also see some other materials that I am working out such as cards, player sheets, and maybe some minis??

Chimaera is a roleplaying game about mutating yourself into a fierce, sly, horrid, or gruesome creature. It is set after a catastrophe struck the Earth that gave many creatures the ability to bind limbs of other creatures to themselves. Humans are thought to be extinct, and the world looks very different. Meet hive minds, pack societies, lone wolf's, brave dangerous weather, hostile environments. Deal with gross mutations and malfunctioning bodies. But Beware! For deep within the facilities of old, among the brush and bramble, the Ghastly Mutated may await.

Below is a roadmap that I'd like to complete for the final release, there's no time schedule and I will not release one, but stay tuned, I'll get things done sporadically.

  1. Release basic rules PDF for playtesting
  2. Develop the Lore
    1. History of the World
    2. Clans and Societies
    3. The Facilities
  3. Printable Body Part Cards and Player Sheet (Finalise)
  4. Write a Guide for the GM
  5. Write a beginner's adventure to introduce the game
  6. Combine this into an awesome book with art for sale!
